Vindica means to ‘claim’ or ‘retake’ it is used in the latin phrase “vindica te tibi” meaning “claim yourself for yourself”.

VINDICA is phone/screentime management app designed to let users build their own solutions to their own problems. VINDICA serves to provide both the information and the tools needed to manage an ever increasingly addictive digital landscape.

VINDICA has only two features:

Short stops:

• Dedicated doomscroll stoppers that are built to take users out of a trance, and save their time from ultra addictive apps.
• Example: use TikTok for >4mins/30min window → 40 minute block.

Conditional Blocks:

• User built blocks that have trigger conditions (in any sort of AND/OR combination):
  • Location
  • Time of day
  • Screen time
• Outcome conditions:
  • Block apps
  • Block apps for a duration
  • Tighten a short stop
  • Excempt short stops and allow X minutes of usage.

Through these two features users have complete control over their tech usage, and how much they use addictive (yet positive in small doses) apps like instagram and tiktok.
